Walk for Children’s Cancer Research

Every year, 13,500 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States alone; and having a child diagnosed with cancer is one of the most traumatic events a family can face.
Time to Fly is a visionary organization that raises funds to support children’s cancer research.
Saturday, June 25th, Time to Fly is hosting their annual event to raise funds to fight childhood cancer. The event includes a 5k walk, 10k and 5k runs, and even a kid’s fun run for youngsters who want to join in this incredible cause.
AbeTech is a proud team sponsor this year; supporting a team that will take on the 5k walk during the event. We’re so glad to be involved in this important and impactful effort.
Visionary Work. Real Impact.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, with the mission to find a cure for childhood cancer.
$124,668.31 has been raised so far, with 1,184 participants, and 63 teams signed up to attend the Saturday race. On their website, Time to Fly states that the June event supports:
- Children around the world currently receiving treatment for a childhood cancer
- The 42 moms and dads who will be told their child has cancer today
- Children and adolescents who have passed away from cancer
- The thousands of childhood cancer survivors who are among us today
- A cure
The upcoming event is a powerful way to build momentum, an important reminder of this very real challenge, and a beautiful way to be part of a meaningful community effort.
